The advices of Open Design School
In March we decided to launch, due to the forced stop for the Covid emergency, a column that will allow us to explore with you topics of common interest.
We have recommended visions, listening, reading and learning related to architecture, design and everything that revolves around them.
And we have asked for your contribution by comparing and exchanging advice, suggestions and new proposals that you would like to include in our column.
Despite the measures imposed by the Government have loosened over time and are allowing a slow resumption of activities, we have decided to continue along this path, continuing to constantly update this column. So keep on following us, you will find the old and new tips, divided by section with all the useful links to find them: movies, podcasts, reading, learning and everything we will advise you on our socials.

March 25th - Also this week we recommend two films by French directors Beka and Lemoine: Koolhaas Houselife, portrays one of the most important buildings of contemporary architecture, the Maison à Bordeaux, designed by Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas, with the narrative based on the central figure of Guadalupe Acedo, the overwhelming and sympathetic housekeeper (the film is part of the series Living Architectures, 8 films that tell in a surprising way the life of architectural works signed by some of the most famous architects of our time);
the second film is Moriyama San, a documentary that recounts a week in the extraordinary ordinary life of Mr. Moriyama, a Japanese lover of art, architecture and music who lives in one of the most famous contemporary Japanese architectures, the Moriyama house, built in Tokyo in 2005 by Pritzker Prize winner Ryue Nishizawa (SANAA).

March 19th: Barbicania and The Infinite Happiness are two films shot by young French documentary filmmakers Ila Bêka and Louise Lemoine, who focus their research on the relationship between people and design, underlining the presence of everyday life within some of the most iconic architectural projects of recent times.
The first film, Barbicania, tells the story of the residence made by the two French directors for a month in the heart of one of the most important European art centres, the Barbican Centre.
In the second film, The Infinite Happiness, Bêka and Lemoine show us their experience of life inside the giant "8 House", the vertical village experiment built by Danish architect Bjarke Ingels on the outskirts of Copenhagen.
