Materadio is over, but we still have the thrill of a unique event for our city. These are days when the streets of Matera are filled with an air of celebration and participation.
Materadio represented much more for us. For the first time, our structures have taken shape under the eyes of the local community.
As the village of Materadio took shape, axis after axis, bolt after bolt, there were many curious eyes that have observed the process of construction of our structures and that, perhaps for the first time, have made contact with our reality.
In a few days we set up a pillar space for the event: the steps, the info point, the modular seats, the scenographic backwall of the many interviews of the Materadio village, while the city was gradually filled with small and large informative displays.
Exposing your ideas to the public is never easy, but the answer has been happily positive and the greatest satisfaction was seeing the steps and the seats always full in an increasingly crowded village.
Our ideas have taken shape, but this time they have become protagonists of one of the most important events for the city and for us a fundamental test towards 2019.
Now that the party is over, it is time to put on the scale of the positive aspects and all that there is to improve.
There is a lot of work still to be done and new challenges on the horizon, but without forgetting that at the Open Design School “no challenge is too big or complicated”.
